Relationships & Couples Counseling

Even strong relationships can reach a point where something just isn’t working the way it used to.
Communication may start breaking down. Conversations turn into arguments, or difficult topics get avoided altogether. One or both partners may feel disconnected, misunderstood, or unsure about the future of the relationship.
Many of the couples I work with are professionals balancing demanding careers, family responsibilities, and the challenges of maintaining a strong relationship in the midst of busy lives.
Couples counseling provides a structured space to slow down, understand what is really happening between you, and begin building healthier patterns of communication and connection.
My approach to couples therapy is practical, collaborative, and grounded in research. Drawing from the Gottman Method, attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Relational Life Therapy (RLT), I help couples identify the dynamics that are creating conflict and develop concrete strategies to move forward.
In our work together, we often focus on:
• improving communication and reducing destructive conflict patterns
• rebuilding trust after betrayals or breaches of confidence
• reconnecting emotionally and strengthening intimacy
• navigating major life decisions together
• clarifying whether the relationship can move forward in a healthy way
Many couples find it helpful to work with someone who can bring clarity and structure to difficult conversations. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to help both partners better understand each other and determine what a healthy future for the relationship might look like.

Couples counseling can be helpful whether you are:
• working through a difficult period in a long-term relationship
• rebuilding trust after infidelity
• preparing for marriage or a deeper commitment
• trying to decide whether the relationship can move forward
Relationships require intentional effort, communication, and mutual understanding. Therapy can provide the guidance and perspective needed to help both partners move toward a healthier and more fulfilling connection.

If you and your partner are feeling stuck or uncertain about the future of your relationship, I invite you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation so we can discuss whether couples counseling might be helpful.

“In the union of love I have seen, in a mystic miniature, the prefiguring vision of the heaven that saints and poets have imagined.”
