Let's Get to Work.

Feeling burnt-out, anxious, blue, or like you’re not where you want to be in life?

Many of my clients are professionals, entrepreneurs, and students navigating demanding careers, relationships, and questions about the kind of life they want to build. I use collaborative, action-oriented, evidence-based approaches to help clients gain clarity about their values, strengthen their relationships, and take practical steps toward the kind of life they want to build. I see clients in-person in Amarillo and via telehealth in Austin and throughout Texas. Some of my areas of expertise include:

  • Anxiety and Depression

  • Relationships and Couples

  • Career Counseling

  • Executive and Life Coaching

  • Men's Issues

  • Sexual Issues

  • Gay and Lesbian Issues

  • Religious, Spiritual, and Existential Issues

  • Trauma and PTSD

The first place to start is for us to have a free 15-minute consultation. We can briefly discuss what’s bringing you in, I can share how I work, and we can decide whether scheduling a full intake session makes sense.

What's Different About Joey?

  • Real-World Career Experience: Before becoming a therapist, I spent five years working in software sales and management. I understand the pressures of demanding careers, leadership, and professional growth because I’ve lived it myself.

  • Evidence-Based Training: My work is grounded in proven psychological approaches. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from St. Edward’s University and have advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the Beck Institute as well as EMDR therapy.

  • Practical, Collaborative Approach: Every client is different. I work collaboratively with clients to understand the patterns shaping their lives and develop practical strategies to improve relationships, reduce anxiety and stress, and move toward a more fulfilling life.

  • Values and Life Direction Focus: Many of my clients come to therapy not only for relief from anxiety or stress, but to gain clarity about the kind of life they want to build and how to live in alignment with their values.

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
